Regulatory Reporting Analyst

The Regulatory Reporting Analyst is responsible for preparing and reviewing regulatory reports for financial authorities and works closely with the Fund Regulatory Reporting team to ensure that Man Group meets its regulatory requirements. The role requires experience in regulatory reporting, a thorough understanding of financial regulations, and the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.

Purpose of the role

The Regulatory Reporting department is responsible for implementing and managing regulatory requirements across Man Group’s entire fund portfolio, including AIFMD, Form PF, CPR-PDD, and other reporting requirements. The Regulatory Reporting Analyst will work closely with colleagues in the Fund Regulatory Reporting department to achieve team goals and develop their skills and expertise.

Job Description and Responsibilities

- Preparing and reviewing all regulatory filings with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI), the National Futures Association (NFA), the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), and other global regulatory authorities. - Escalating internal control weaknesses to senior management and ensuring appropriate approvals. - Coordinating and planning regulatory reporting requirements and ensuring timely delivery to meet regulatory deadlines. - Analyzing and interpreting regulatory changes, regulatory reporting processes, and procedures. - Continuously monitor and improve regulatory reporting processes across various business units and provide: - Advice and guidance to the business regarding the treatment of products and transactions from a regulatory perspective. - Assess and advise the business on the impact of business changes on regulatory reporting. - Communicating with internal and external partners to support ongoing reporting requirements, including: - Reviewing P&L and coordinating governance and oversight meetings. - Establishing a robust legal and regulatory framework to facilitate regulatory reporting requirements and respond to inquiries from the FCA and other regulatory authorities.

Technical skills

- Strong knowledge of fund accounting and portfolio management principles. - Ability to work under time pressure to meet fixed monthly, quarterly, or annual deadlines. - Previous experience in regulatory reporting, ideally in a similar environment or role, or with a similar data architecture. - Ability to effectively implement process improvements and collaborate across various functions within the company. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels within the company. - At least 5 years of experience in a regulatory reporting role, ideally with a focus on AIFMD, EMIR, Form PF, and Form CPR-PDD. - Business project management skills with a focus on excellent Excel skills and data quality; ideally, project management or business analysis skills with experience in regulatory developments from both a business and systems perspective. - Excellent MS Office/IT skills; experience with regulatory reporting tools would be advantageous.
