Regulatory Reporting Analyst
The Regulatory Reporting Analyst is responsible for preparing and reviewing regulatory reports for Man Group, including AIFMD, EMIR, SFTR, and FCA reports. The role requires close collaboration with the Fund Regulatory Reporting team and other departments to meet regulatory requirements and continuously improve processes.
Purpose of the role
The Fund Regulatory Reporting department is responsible for executing and managing regulatory reporting requirements for Man Group’s funds, including AIFMD, EMIR, SFTR, FCA, and PRA reporting within the Regulatory Operations department. As part of the Fund Finance and Regulatory Reporting Control team within the Regulatory Operations department, the team focuses on continuous improvement in operational efficiency and quality.Tasks
The duties of a Regulatory Reporting Analyst include:- Prepare and review all regulatory filings with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI), the National Financial Association (NFA), the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and other global regulatory authorities, as required
- Ensuring that all relevant business units comply with reporting requirements and ensuring that controls are in place
- Communicate with the Regulatory Reporting Team as needed
- Preparation of regulatory submissions to meet regulatory deadlines for each filing
- Maintenance and updating of operational reporting rules and procedures
- Continuously monitor and evaluate regulatory reporting processes across various business units and collaborate with stakeholders to improve processes as needed
- Providing advice and guidance to business units regarding the treatment of products and transactions for regulatory reporting purposes
- Providing the company with assessment and guidance regarding the impact of business changes on regulatory reporting
- Communication with external providers to support ongoing reporting, including EMIR (EU), and to interpret regulations and participate in regulatory meetings
- Participate in regular regulatory reporting meetings to identify ongoing reporting requirements
- Serve as an interface between the business and regulatory teams, as needed, to respond to inquiries from regulatory authorities
Technical skills
Required technical skills:- Strong knowledge of fund accounting principles and portfolio management principles
- Ability to work under time pressure to meet fixed monthly, quarterly, or annual deadlines
- Previous experience executing complex processes that require the coordination of inputs from multiple business units
- Ability to build strong and effective working relationships in various roles both within and outside of Man Group
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels within the company
- Ability to lead project work related to regulatory developments from both perspectives (business and technical); e.g., Brexit, EMIR Refit, SFTR
- Ability to lead and deliver projects focused on AIFMD, EMIR, SFTR, and other regulatory requirements
- Strong skills in data calculation and manipulation, with a focus on excellent Excel skills and reporting tools
