Relationship Manager based in Singapore (Japanese speaking)

The Relationship Manager at Julius Baer in Singapore is responsible for proactively and autonomously managing a portfolio of high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients and is expected to offer comprehensive wealth management solutions. About the job

The Relationship Manager Private Banking (RM) is the primary contact between the client and the bank. He/she acts as an external ambassador for the bank and is responsible for the proactive and autonomous management of a portfolio of high net worth and/or ultra high net worth private clients.

Tasks

The Relationship Manager has the following responsibilities:
  • Responds to all customer needs in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensures consistently high levels of customer satisfaction by adjusting the frequency and intensity of contact to customer preferences
  • Provides appropriate investment advice in accordance with the bank's guidelines and asset managers within the bank to ensure continuous improvement and adaptation to market trends.
  • Responsible for proactively delivering customer feedback regarding products and services to the relevant departments.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of customer initiatives and new marketing strategies and supports ad hoc projects as requested by management (team leader and/or others).

Prospect and customer management

The Relationship Manager is responsible for proactively developing and maintaining a portfolio of high net worth and/or ultra high net worth clients:
  • Employs a collaborative team approach, including the appropriate use of specialists, to develop and deliver comprehensive wealth management solutions for clients
  • Continuously deepens customer relationships and optimizes earnings by acquiring new customers and increasing the share of customer assets/cross-selling.
  • Proactively manages at-risk customers and develops succession strategies to minimize churn and losses due to generational transition
  • Accepts new processes and product initiatives and uses available tools in daily business

Risk management

The Relationship Manager is responsible for managing daily business risks and is an integral part of the first line of defense. The Relationship Manager ensures a strong culture of compliance, ethical behavior, and sound risk management practices, including:
  • Implements and achieves an appropriate "first time right" culture, including high KYC quality, positive control results, and high-quality documentation of CCN via the 5Ws.
  • Ensures timely clarification of outstanding issues, warnings, notifications, training, and/or conditions, resulting in fewer overdue items
