Relationship Manager, Fund Services
VP Bank is seeking a Relationship Manager for its Fund Services division who will strengthen existing client relationships and establish new ones in order to exceed client expectations. The ideal candidate will have experience in the financial sector, be highly client-focused, and have excellent communication skills in English and German.
Tasks
In this challenging and independent position in the asset servicing area, you will strengthen and expand existing customer relationships and develop and support new relationships with fund prospectuses. Your tasks will include:- Management of client relationships throughout the entire life cycle of a Luxembourg-based liquid and/or alternative fund
- Visiting existing customers on site and developing and supporting prospects through lead generation in the asset management industry and in Europe and the Nordic region
- Independent identification of cross-selling potential and development of suitable cross-border fund propositions and product offerings across the entire value chain of an international cross-border fund
- Coordination of new product developments, creation of prices and business models in close cooperation with local experts and at group level
- Continuous safeguarding and updating of customer/fund-related files and compliance with high KYC/AML standards
- Coordinating the contractual, operational, and practical setup of new fund structures together with OC&C, IT, business management teams, and other local group specialists to develop pragmatic, functional, efficient, and value-adding solutions
- As the single point of contact, ensure that all inquiries are handled smoothly and promptly in order to generate a high level of customer satisfaction.
Requirements
For this position, you need:- Completed banking training, relevant further training, and/or ideally a university degree in economics with good grades
- Significant professional experience in the financial sector, where you have acquired a very good cross-functional understanding of banks, financial markets, financial products, and services. Additional methodological expertise in the area of investment funds or alternatives is an advantage.
- A comprehensive understanding of the entire value chain of the international fund industry, which is necessary for the correct and smooth integration of the client into VP Bank's operating model.
- Good knowledge of the responsibilities/procedures of fund-related interaction partners
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to set clear guidelines, priorities, and focus areas in order to build a network and establish long-term partnerships, including at higher levels of the company
- A strong track record of success in customer acquisition and business development, particularly in an international environment
- A customer-focused attitude and embodying the "customer comes first" mentality
- A way of working that is characterized by a high degree of flexibility, teamwork, and a willingness to work independently and autonomously, based on the authority granted.
- A solid understanding of MS Office applications and an open attitude toward new media and systems
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills in English and German. A Nordic language is an advantage.
