Relationship Manager (Hong Kong)

The Relationship Manager (Hong Kong) is responsible for servicing High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth clients and delivering comprehensive wealth management solutions. The role requires excellent communication and advisory skills as well as a deep understanding of global financial markets.

Job description: Relationship Manager (Hong Kong)

Your challenge

Client experience

  • Answers all customer inquiries promptly and professionally
  • Ensures a high level of customer satisfaction by adapting the frequency and intensity of contact to customer preferences
  • Provides appropriate investment advice in accordance with bank policies and asset allocation
  • Forwards customer feedback on products and services to the relevant specialists within the bank to ensure continuous improvement and adaptation to market trends
  • Participates in the development and implementation of client initiatives and new marketing strategies and supports ad hoc projects as required by management (team leader and/or others)

Risk management and customer relationships with ultra-high-net-worth customers

  • Proactively develops and maintains a portfolio of high-net-worth and/or ultra-high-net-worth clients
  • Applies a collaborative team approach, including the appropriate utilization of specialists, to proactively develop and deliver comprehensive wealth management solutions for clients
  • Continuously deepens customer relationships and optimizes revenues through acquisition of new customers and additional share of wallet/cross-selling
  • Proactively manages client risks and develops a succession strategy to mitigate churn risks and generational losses
  • Embraces new processes and product initiatives and diligently utilizes available tools in daily operations

Risk management

  • Implements and achieves an appropriate 'first-time-right' culture, including high K'YC quality, positive control outcomes and high quality documentation of CDs via 360°
  • Ensures timely resolution of outstanding items, alerts, notifications, training and/or conditions, resulting in no or few overdue items
  • Learns and stays familiar with risk rubrics/sanctions/alerts/applicable policies and necessary topics

  • Solid commercial judgment and knowledge of global financial markets
  • Ability to combine customer needs with suitable product solutions
  • Willingness to travel
  • Relevant regulatory licenses of HKSAR/SFC
  • Certification as a Certified Private Wealth Professional (CPWP) preferred
