Relationship Manager (Hong Kong)

The Relationship Manager at Julius Baer in Hong Kong serves as the primary point of contact for private banking clients and develops customized wealth management solutions. The role involves actively managing high-net-worth and UHNW clients, as well as coordinating investment strategies and structured products.

Tasks

  • Monitoring clients with high-value relationships, while showcasing Julius Baer's expertise to private investors as a pay-say wealth manager.
  • Timely and professional reporting to the GP or headquarters.
  • Ensuring a consistently high level of customer satisfaction by treating future planning and the interests of customers as the top priority.
  • Ensuring appropriate engagement with key clients, advising on client development plans, and providing sales or mandated portfolio management solutions (e.g., managing client product and service solutions for the relevant opportunity within the bank to optimize transactional performance and capitalization for the client).
  • Supported the development and implementation of client portfolios and the execution of multi-strategy approaches, as well as overseeing all five projects in preparation for Banking Manager Two (three active offerings).
  • Proactive development and management of a portfolio of high-net-worth and/or ultra-high-net-worth clients (High Net Worth Clients).
  • Applying a collaborative team approach and leveraging the expertise of specialists for new projects.
  • Supporting and coordinating the investment team in marketing products to third parties.
  • Coordination of recommendations from institutions and other internal client projects.
  • Implementation of structured products and support for clients' derivatives needs.
  • Preparation of financial documents, including income statements, balance sheets, and revenue reports, for individual clients.
  • Work closely with the Product/Relationship Department and other designated units to ensure that the clients' goals are met.
  • Effective collaboration with Sales & Onboarding and the “Doctrine of Good Behavior.”

Requirements

  • Understanding and applying the areas of expertise related to customized investments / cross-retail trade / structured products / stocks.
  • Ability to develop proposed solutions in line with the expectations for (a) high-touch wealth management and (b) customized fund formation.
  • Familiarity with the structure of the PBB product group, which consists of specialized teams (Private Client Team, Sales & Trading Team, and Client Advisory).
  • An understanding of how to work with in-house legal departments to monitor terms and conditions.
  • Dealing with different types of clients: institutions, charitable organizations, trusts, foundations, and individual clients.
