Job description: Relationship Manager, Japan

Tasks

• Implementation and support of Vontobel's sales strategy and business plan in Japan
• Supporting the Tokyo team in promoting the sale of Vontobel products to institutional clients and intermediaries
• Maintenance and expansion of existing customer relationships, cooperation with account managers
• Identification and coordination of events and sponsorship opportunities to increase Vontobel's brand awareness in Japan
• Working with the Asia-Pacific team to promote the regional business plan
• Development of opportunities in the region and implementation of best practices
• Providing constructive feedback on strategies, market and industry trends and best practices
• Internal cooperation with various departments to fulfill customer requirements
• Building positive relationships within the global sales organization and other internal teams

Requirements

• Relationship Manager with a proven track record in client relationship management and 10-15 years' experience in asset management sales, particularly with institutional clients
• Strong communication skills in Japanese for collaboration with key partners in Japan and high level of English proficiency
• Ability to work in a team and provide customer and sales support
• Strong technical skills and experience in marketing public and private market classes in Japan
• Good understanding of Japanese regulations in sales and marketing
• Independent, entrepreneurial and customer-oriented mindset
• Strong communication and interpretation skills
• Willingness to travel for work
• High personal integrity
