Relationship Manager, South Korea
Vontobel is looking for a Relationship Manager for the South Korean market who will be responsible for marketing and selling investment strategies as well as servicing clients. The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of experience in asset management sales, especially with institutional clients in South Korea.
Job description: Relationship Manager, South Korea
Tasks
- Implementation and support of Vontobel's sales strategy and business plan in South Korea with a secondary focus on Hong Kong
- Distribution of Vontobel's equity, fixed income, multi-asset and infrastructure products to institutional clients and intermediaries, including governmental institutions, pension funds, insurance companies, asset managers, investment firms and commercial banks
- Maintain and develop existing client relationships, working with account managers to ensure a first-class customer experience
- Identify and coordinate events and sponsorship opportunities to strengthen Vontobel's brand in Korea and Hong Kong
- Developing opportunities in the region and supporting the implementation of best practices in the company
- Provide constructive feedback on strategies, market and industry trends and best practices to management, sales and investment teams
- Collaborate internally across the organization to work with corporate product, marketing and investment resources to meet customer needs
- Build positive relationships across the global sales organization, investment communications, operations, legal, compliance and other internal teams that are critical to the entire client lifecycle
Requirements
- Relationship Manager with proven success in client acquisition and 10-15 years of experience in asset management sales, especially with institutional clients in South Korea
- Strong local language skills and relationships with key stakeholders in South Korea - governments, insurers, asset managers, banks and other distribution partners, able to hit the ground running
- Experience in providing customer and sales support to regional teams
- Established domestic network covering states, insurers, asset managers, banks and other distribution partners
- Deep experience in marketing for both public and private market classes in Korea with strong technical skills and a deep understanding of Korean regulations for sales and marketing
- Independent, entrepreneurial, customer-oriented mindset with strong drive and ambition to establish and grow the company's business in the Korean market
- Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel for work
