Research Analyst

Purpose of the position

The position of Research Analyst involves developing and refining quantitative investment strategies in financial markets as part of the Strategies Alpha Research Team (SARS). The role includes supporting all asset and fee-based income strategies—from alpha generation through to trade execution and implementation—as well as sharing knowledge with other teams to foster innovation.

Key responsibilities of the position

The main tasks include:

• Research, design, and implementation of new solutions for alpha generation
• Conducting research on various aspects of investment strategy implementation, such as trading cost models, risk models, optimization, and portfolio construction

Requirements

The required skills and qualifications include:

• Ability to innovate in investment research, with strong intuition and the ability to think outside the box
• Strong evidence of original research and demonstrated problem-solving skills
• Excellent quantitative skills gained through training in economics or statistics and extensive experience in using tools for empirical research
• Knowledge of programming and data analysis (Python preferred)
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Previous experience in the investment field, particularly in credit markets, is a plus but not required

Fee

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $160,000 USD. The compensation package also includes a discretionary bonus.
