Research Analyst

Purpose of the position

The position of Research Analyst involves developing and implementing quantitative investment strategies in financial markets as part of the Strategies Alpha Research Team (SART). The team supports strategy research and idea generation through data collection, backtesting, and implementation, and works closely with other team members to support existing strategies and develop new ones.

Key responsibilities of the position

The position involves the following tasks:

• Identifying inefficiencies and implementing ideas through data cleaning, coding, modeling, and interpreting results
• Conducting research on various aspects of investment strategy implementation, such as trading and risk models, data models, optimization, and portfolio construction

Requirements

The position requires:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, mathematics, statistics, computer science, economics, or engineering
• A passion for investment research, combined with strong intuition and the ability to think outside the box
• Outstanding academic achievements and a track record of high-quality research
• Familiarity with research tools and data
• Strong programming skills for analyzing large and complex datasets using statistical tools (Python preferred)
• Ability to clearly communicate complex ideas
• Ability to work well under pressure and attention to detail

Salary

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $140,000 USD per year.
