Research Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality investment research across a wide range of sectors, including finance, technology, healthcare, and more;
• Conduct fundamental analysis, including reviewing financial statements, industry reports, and company presentations, and writing reports on individual companies;
• Assess global market trends as well as competitive dynamics within the economies of the Far East to identify investment opportunities;
• Meet with management teams and conduct site visits (as appropriate);
• Attend meetings, interact with analysts, and participate in investment committees;
• Work with external resources, including access to industry conferences;
• Stay informed about changes in the economic and political landscape of the Far East and assess how these changes may affect the Fund’s investment opportunities;
• Track and monitor portfolio holdings;
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in an academic discipline relevant to research and analysis (e.g., economics, finance, mathematics, physics...);
• 1–3 years of experience in industries relevant to fundamental research (finance, technology, healthcare, etc.);
• Basic understanding of financial models;
• Ability to think independently and solve problems;
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken;
• Proficient with office software.

Nice to Have

• A candidate with a current work authorization for the Far East is a strong asset;
• Knowledge of other East Asian languages is always helpful;
