Head of Internal Audit, BCV Group

Banque Cantonale Vaudoise (BCV) is seeking a new Head of Internal Audit to lead and coordinate the activities of the audit team and represent the bank in matters of risk management and compliance. The ideal candidate should have experience in banking, particularly in internal audit, as well as relevant training and certification (e.g., CIA).

Job description

The BCV Group's Head of Internal Audit plays an important role within the company. As an independent body reporting directly to the Board of Directors and its Audit and Risk Committee, Internal Audit helps to ensure the effectiveness of the internal control system, regulatory and operational compliance, and appropriate risk management and control.

Tasks

The responsibilities of the Internal Audit Manager include:
  • Management and coordination of all internal audit activities for Groupe BCV
  • Leading 25 employees in performing their audit tasks and achieving their professional goals
  • Monitoring of legal, technological, regulatory, and methodological developments in the field of risk management and auditing
  • Implementation of changes resulting from these developments
  • Representing the bank to those responsible for the business areas and in the community of internal and external auditors

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:
  • A university degree in finance, economics, or management
  • The Swiss expert or expert accountant title or at least the CIA (Certified Internal Auditor)
  • Experience in internal auditing at banks, in an auditing firm (financial services) or at a bank (level 2 or 1)
  • Excellent knowledge of regulatory requirements, financial and operational risk management, risk control and compliance (in particular BA/FT, sanctions, LSFIn)
  • Very good knowledge of governance, business model, risk culture of a universal banking group, operational resilience, IT and cyber environment
  • Extensive knowledge of the various business areas of a universal banking group, particularly in the area of lending
  • Good communication skills and excellent relationship management skills
  • Perfect command of French, good knowledge of German and English
  • Residence in the canton of Vaud or in a neighboring canton
