Job description

We are looking for a Risk Analyst (Entry Level Role) to join our team in London. This role offers a great opportunity to interact with senior stakeholders across the business and build key relationships.

Tasks

  • Support in the implementation of the risk management framework in the areas of operational, financial and credit risk
  • Managing the production and delivery of monthly and quarterly risk reports and presentations to the Management Committee, the Board Risk Committee and the Board
  • Implementation of process improvements for risk reporting and implementation of Group systems and processes to improve local reporting
  • Supporting the Head of Financial Risk in the delivery of scenario analysis and risk modeling for the company's ILAA and ICAAP
  • Supporting the Head of Operational Risk in delivering monthly and quarterly risk reports to the Operational and Regulatory Risk Committees and the Challenge Risk Committee
  • Manage the end-to-end process for risk metrics, including annual review and challenge of metric components and risk dashboards, monthly reporting and alignment with group metrics
  • Support for the Global Risk & Compliance (GRC) tool, including the review of Operational Risk Incidents (ORIs)
  • Manage the Risk 'Regulatory Radar' to identify and assess regulatory developments and report on the impact to the relevant risk committees
  • Risk contribution/support for company-wide activities and projects as required
  • Implementation of process improvements for risk reporting and implementation of Group systems and processes to improve local reporting

Requirements

  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others; must be self-motivated
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate confidently with all levels of seniority
  • Advanced Excel skills (large data manipulation essential); VBA and Power BI are a strong advantage
  • Excellent numerical skills (math degree or equivalent preferred)
  • Previous internship experience in the banking or consulting industry is highly desirable
  • The candidate must be accurate and able to deliver work of a consistently high standard
  • Good time management skills - ability to prioritize responsibilities within set deadlines

Qualifications

  • A degree in finance, economics or a related field
  • Previous internship experience in the banking or consulting industry is highly desirable
