Risk Analyst

The Risk Analyst supports the Enterprise Risk Management team in identifying and managing internal and external risks and is responsible for collecting, validating, and analyzing risk data, as well as creating reports and dashboards. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in operational risk, third-party risk management, or similar roles in the financial sector.

Risk Analyst

The position supports the activities of two functions within the Enterprise Risk Management team: - Operational Risk – focuses on internal risks - Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) – focuses on external risks from suppliers and partners Both teams identify potential risks, assess their severity, and work with other teams to manage and communicate these risks.

Tasks

The tasks include:
  • Collecting, validating, and updating information about risks and controls
  • Monitor whether controls are working (or failing)
  • Monitoring compliance with standards in risk management guidelines
  • Record when risks arise and track corrective actions
  • Maintaining lists of all suppliers and assessing their risk levels
  • Maintaining information flows and escalating problems
  • Maintain accurate records and schedules

Requirements

The requirements include:
  • 4+ years of experience in operational risk, third-party risk management, or similar data/analysis roles in the financial industry
  • Understanding of how companies manage operational risks and controls
  • Knowledge of:
    • risk assessments
    • Bowl risk indicators
    • risk scenario planning
    • Problem reporting and tracking
    • Supplier risk management (onboarding, evaluation, monitoring of suppliers)
  • Technical skills:
    • Excel; advanced skills (data manipulation, charts, pivot tables)
    • Dashboards; ability to create visual reports (e.g., Power BI)
    • Automation; experience with automation tools (e.g., Power Automate)

  • Ability to clearly document processes
  • Good at breaking down complex problems into manageable steps and asking questions when necessary
  • Feel comfortable in a support role, answering inquiries and managing expectations
  • Clear communicator who can work with different teams to gather information
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment, with flexible work arrangements for team collaboration and face-to-face engagement with minimal work flexibility
