Job description: Risk Analyst

Tasks

• Supporting the investment risk team in ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of risk data
• Conducting due diligence for new hedge fund investments
• Monitoring investment risks on the platform and providing timely updates on risks
• Maintaining and improving the quality of risk calculations in FRM systems
• Collaboration with stakeholders to solve data issues related to risk topics
• Develop an understanding of the administrator's processes, procedures and controls
• Monitoring and evaluation of investment risks on the platform
• Carrying out financial and investment analyses
• Reporting on portfolio risks and data to stakeholders

Requirements

• Solid academic background in a technical field (e.g. economics, mathematics, engineering, natural sciences)
• Knowledge of financial instruments and interest in portfolio risk management
• Knowledge of Python (or similar programming skills)
• Ability to investigate complex problems and propose solutions
• Strong understanding of the investment management industry and its competing demands
• Excellent communication skills

Further requirements (optional)

• Experience in risk data modeling and understanding of the MSCl/Risk Metrics framework
• Knowledge of and experience with hedge fund strategies
• Knowledge of Python
