Job description: Risk Analyst

Tasks

• Supporting the Investment Risk team in ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of risk data for external and internal stakeholders
• Conducting due diligence for new hedge fund investments
• Monitoring the risk profiles of existing hedge fund managers, including their exposures, strategies and new developments
• Identification, assessment and management of market risks to protect clients' capital
• Maintaining and improving the quality of risk calculations in FRM systems
• Develop an understanding of the administrator's processes, procedures and controls
• Monitoring and escalation of problems on various platforms
• Performing ad hoc analyses on data sets and information
• Reporting to the team on data and metrics

Requirements

• Solid academic background in a technical field (e.g. economics, mathematics, engineering, natural sciences)
• Knowledge of financial instruments and interest in major asset classes and portfolio risk management techniques
• Knowledge of Python (or similar programming skills) and MS Office applications, especially Excel
• Ability to identify investment risk issues and propose solutions
• Very good communication skills
• Ability to distill complex information

Further requirements (optional)

• Experience in risk data modeling and understanding of the MSCl/Risk Metrics framework
• Knowledge of and experience with hedge funds and fund strategies
• Knowledge of Python
