Job description: Risk Analyst

Tasks

• Support in ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of risk data for internal and external stakeholders
• Conducting due diligence for new hedge fund investments in the area of investment risk
• Providing investment risk management services to the Investment Risk Committee, including risk insights and assessment of the company's risk profile
• Maintaining and improving the quality of risk calculations in FRM systems
• Develop an understanding of the administrator's processes, procedures and controls
• Monitoring of unauthorized trading violations on the platform
• Carrying out thematic and ad-hoc risk analyses
• Reporting relevant risk data and metrics to stakeholders

Requirements

• Solid academic foundation in a technical field (e.g. economics, mathematics, engineering, natural sciences)
• Knowledge of financial instruments and interest in large asset classes and portfolio risk management
• Knowledge of Python (or similar programming skills) and MS Office applications, especially Excel
• Ability to investigate complex problems and propose solutions
• Strong communication skills and passion for communicating technical information

Further requirements (optional)

• Experience in risk data modeling and understanding of the MSC/Risk Metrics' risk framework
• Knowledge and proven experience with hedge fund strategies
• Knowledge of C#
