Risk Analyst

Tasks

The position supports the activities of two functions within Man Group's Enterprise Risk Management team:

• Operational risk – focuses on internal risks (things that could go wrong in our daily operations)
• Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) – focuses on external risks from suppliers and contractual partners with whom we work

The tasks include:

• Collecting and updating information about risks and controls
• Monitor whether controls are working (or escalations)
• Monitoring compliance with the standards set out in Man Group's risk management policies
• Record when something goes wrong and track corrective actions
• Maintain risk monitoring and escalation when risk levels increase/tolerance levels rise
• Maintaining infrastructure and IT systems
• Maintaining accurate records and schedules

Requirements

Required qualifications and experience:

• 4+ years of experience in operational risk, third-party risk management (e.g., supplier/contract partner risk), or similar roles in the financial industry
• Understanding of how companies manage operational risks and controls
• Familiarity with TPRM processes, including:
  • risk assessments
  • Bowl risk indicators
  • Risk and control self-assessment
  • Problem and action tracking
• Technical skills:
  • Excel: Advanced skills (data manipulation, lookup, pivot tables)
  • Dashboards: Ability to create visual reports (e.g., Power BI)
  • Automation: Experience with automation tools (e.g., Power Automate)
