Tasks

The position supports the activities of two functions within the Enterprise Risk Management team:

• Operational risk – focuses on internal risks (things that could go wrong in our daily operations)
• Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) – focuses on external risks from the suppliers and vendors we work with

Both teams identify potential risks, assess their severity, and work with other teams within Man Group to manage and communicate these risks.

Risk responsibility includes:

• Collecting and updating information about risks and controls
• Monitor whether controls are working (or not)
• Monitoring compliance with the standards set out in Man Group's risk management policies
• Record when risks arise and track actions to ensure
• Maintaining an inventory of all our suppliers and assessing their risk levels
• Maintaining infrastructure and escalating problems/results
• Maintain accurate records and schedules

Data management and reporting

• Ensure that all risk data is accurate, complete, and up to date.
• Maintaining our risk and control database for risks that could affect us
• Creating dashboards and reports, including automation
• Preparing drafts for senior management meetings

process improvement

• Create automated worksheets to reduce manual work (e.g., approval requests, reminders, data updates)
• Checking the quality of risk and control data
• Developing new ways to use artificial intelligence to review and challenge risk and control data
• Review of new risks and assessments
• Finding ways to make processes more efficient
• Assist in reviewing and improving our risk management systems

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in operational risk, third-party risk management (e.g., supplier/vendor risk), or similar data/risk roles in the financial industry
• Understanding of how companies manage operational risks and controls
• Familiarity with risk management frameworks, including:
  • risk assessments
  • Bowl risk indicators
  • Risk and control self-assessment
  • Problem and action tracking
• Previous experience in the automotive industry (manufacturing, evaluation, supplier monitoring)
• Technical skills:
  • Excel: Advanced skills (e.g., data manipulation, lookups, pivot tables)
  • Dashboards: Ability to create visual reports (e.g., Power BI)
