Risk Analytics Reporting Associate
The Risk Analytics Reporting Associate position involves supporting the risk team by creating and maintaining dashboards, reports, and analyses for operational risk, incidents, and controls. The employee will be responsible for preparing data, tracking KRIs/KPIs, and creating accurate reports for senior management.
Job description
Support the risk team by building and maintaining dashboards, reports, and analyses for operational risk, incidents, and controls. Assist with data preparation and management, tracking KRIs/KPIs, and creating concise documentation for senior management. Contribute to process mapping and continuous improvement with a strong focus on data quality and automation.Core Responsibilities
- Data preparation & quality: Collect, clean, and reconcile data from incident logs, control tests, and process repositories; document data definitions and business rules.
- Monitor market, technology, and regulatory trends to predict emerging risks.
- Preparation of regulatory reports on operational risk.
- Recording, documentation, and maintenance of records of operational incidents throughout the institute.
- Analysis of incident data to map risk development and business requirements.
Dashboards & Reports
- Setup and maintenance of Power BI/Excel dashboards (KRIs, incidents, control test results, process KPIs); ensuring planned updates and version control.
- Tracking KPIs/KRIs: Maintain thresholds, status flags, and trend analyses; highlight violations and drivers.
- Definition, tracking, and communication of risk management indicators (KPIs/KRIs).
- Proposing and implementing process and control improvements based on quality/governance methods.
- Support for continuous improvement and automation projects.
Executive Packs
- Updating risk decks and one-page summaries for committees.
- Preparation of reports and presentations for management and supervisory bodies.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (business, compliance, internal controls, AML/PLDFT, technology, etc.) to validate risks and advocate positions.
minimum qualifications
- Current or completed bachelor's degree (business administration, engineering, economics, data/IT, or related).
- Strong knowledge of process mapping/modeling and process design/review.
- Knowledge of process improvement/quality methods (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, PDCA).
- Knowledge of US banking/broker-dealer regulations.
- Knowledge of process indicators (KPIs/SLAs) and KRI design/measurement.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley, ISO 31000, and COSO is desirable.
- Data analysis skills; experience with Power BI (or similar data visualization tools) is desirable.
- Programming skills for analytics/automation are desirable (Python, SQL, or VBA).
- Experience with setting up and maintaining analysis and reporting tools is desirable. <
