Risk and Compliance IT Application Owner

Main tasks

  • Business analysis:
    • Identifies needs, optimizes processes, and translates these into technical solutions to improve stakeholder lifecycle management.
  • Daily support:
    • Analyzes release notes and evaluates potential system impacts (e.g., features that are being discontinued, changed, or added).
    • Write complete technical specifications.
  • Project management:
    • Plans, tracks, and monitors the development and implementation of risk-related deliverables globally.
    • Manages these autonomously according to new business requirements, from business analysis to UAT to final implementation in production environments, where possible.
    • Manages daily support for end users, ensuring that issues and questions are resolved properly, either independently or with the help of dedicated provider teams.
    • Creates or customizes data models using SQL queries and SAS reports. Develops extractions and new end-user reports.

Requirements

  • University degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of the banking industry is required, typically 10+ years of experience in a private banking role or similar experience in a financial services environment.
  • Proven familiarity with the complete software lifecycle.
  • Proven ability and experience in IT service management.
  • Advanced analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills to work on problems of varying scope and take a proactive and assertive approach to escalating issues and collaborating with relevant teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with working in distributed technical and business teams.
  • Improving relationships and networks with senior internal colleagues within and across departments.
  • Manages projects independently.
  • Works independently, seeks help from external provider teams when needed for complex problems.
  • Knowledge of the SAS Asset & Liability Risk Management solution approach is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications, Windows Server, and Linux environments.
  • Good knowledge of relational database queries and modeling.
  • Knowledge of SQL.
  • Knowledge of Java, Python, and PowerShell is a strong plus.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken (B1 or First Certificate). French is a plus, as the location is Geneva.
