Risk and Compliance IT Application Owner
The position of Risk and Compliance IT Application Owner at EFG International in Geneva involves overseeing IT activities for risk and compliance applications, including business analysis, project management, and implementation. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting end users and managing projects in the area of risk and compliance.
Job description
Tasks
- Business analysis: Identifying needs, optimizing processes, and translating them into technical solutions to improve the lifecycle of stakeholders.
- Daily support: Analysis of release notes and assessment of potential system impacts
- Preparation of complete technical specifications
- Project management: Planning, tracking, and monitoring the development and implementation of risk-related deliverables worldwide
- Autonomous presentation and management of projects from business analysis to UAT and final implementation in production environments
- Daily support for end users, ensuring that problems and questions are resolved properly
- Creation or adaptation of data models using SQL queries and SAS reports
- Development of extractions and new end-user reports
Requirements
- University degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field
- Banking experience required, typically 10+ years of experience in a private banking role or similar experience in a financial services environment
- Proven familiarity with the complete software lifecycle
- Proven ability and experience in IT service management
- Advanced analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Familiarity with working in distributed technical and business teams
- Ability to maintain and expand relationships with senior internal colleagues within and across departments
- Independent management of projects
- Independent work, with support from external provider teams for complex issues as needed
- Knowledge of the SAS Asset & Liability Risk Management solution approach is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications, Windows Server, and Linux environments
- Good knowledge of relational database queries and modeling
- Knowledge of SQL
- Knowledge of Java, Python, and PowerShell is a strong plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken (B1 or First Certificate)
- Knowledge of French is an advantage, as the location is Geneva.
