Risk and Compliance Senior Specialist
The Risk and Compliance Senior Specialist supports the Executive Board and the Chief Risk Officer in monitoring client relationships, transactions and risks in the Private Banking division. The focus is on ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
Job description
Tasks
- Functional report to the three members of the Executive Committee and administrative report to the Chief Risk Officer
- Support in the review of customer transactions (payments) and related documentation as well as in the tracking of customer transaction monitoring alerts and the clarification of account documentation
- Support in the regular and/or ad-hoc review of client accounts/relationships
- Supporting the Chief Risk Officer in the preparation of certain regular risk reports and the execution of certain risk management tasks
- Supporting the two EFGB CROs and the Executive Committee in compliance and other administrative and operational matters
- Supporting the Executive Committee in (internal and external) audit matters, if required
- In the absence of the Customer Support Officer supporting the EFGB CROs, the Customer Support Officer will support the CROs
- Support with office administration matters
Requirements
- Good knowledge of private banking transactions, internal controls (including fraud risk) and compliance regulatory requirements (AML, sanctions, suitability, cross-border, market integrity)
- Good knowledge of risks in connection with private banking
- Adaptability to IT systems used by the bank and to Microsoft Office suites
- Apply judgment with a good common sense of risk assessment and skepticism and a sense of responsibility, care and substance when performing controls
- Mid-level professional with experience in private banking, bank internal controls and/or bank internal/external audits (on risk and regulatory matters)
- Flexibility, ability to integrate and interact with a team spirit, given the size of the unit, and ability to work effectively with other parts of the EFG organization
