Risk Automation Lead

The role

We are looking for an experienced leader with a strong quantitative and technical background to drive the automation and implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) within the A&H Risk and Portfolio Risk teams. The role focuses on building tools and automating workflows to make risk processes faster, more scalable, and more insightful—using AI wherever possible to achieve efficiency gains.

Key aspects of the role

- Identify and automate manual processes within the A&H Risk and Portfolio Risk teams, with a focus on leveraging AI to improve efficiency - Develop and deploy scalable automation solutions, tools, and supporting infrastructure using Python - Contribute to the development of the Group’s risk framework, including internal risk models and code reviews - Promoting strong risk awareness and best practices in front-office and support functions

Requirements

- Demonstrable experience in financial markets or quantitative roles - Knowledge of financial markets across all major asset classes - Familiarity with AI-powered development tools and experience integrating large language models (LLMs) into workflows - Strong technical and analytical skills - Advanced Python or similar programming skills - Willingness to learn, excellent academic background, including a master’s degree or equivalent in a mathematically demanding field
