Risk Officer (80-100%)
Sygnum is seeking a Risk Officer (80-100%) to support the risk management team in developing and implementing risk management methods and processes. The ideal candidate will have at least 5-10 years of experience in banking and risk management, as well as a good understanding of banking processes and risk management.
Tasks
- Collaborate with the Chief Risk Officer to further develop Sygnum's risk management framework
- Implementation of existing and new risk methods, processes, and tools
- Support in establishing a highly cooperative and proactive risk function that is capable of mastering the increasingly complex business and regulatory environment, particularly with regard to operational risks
- Management of the process for reporting and documenting operational risk events
- Conducting annual (RCSA) and ad hoc risk assessments, particularly with regard to new technologies, services, and products
- Support in defining and annually updating the risk profile and KR1 definition
- Conducting tests to verify the design and operational effectiveness of key controls and making recommendations
- Conducting risk analyses and preparing financial and non-financial risk reports for various governance bodies
- Support in promoting a corporate culture of confident and informed risk management and strong risk governance through training and communication
Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of banking processes from start to finish, at least 5-10 years of experience in banking, risk management (financial or non-financial risk)
- Experience in implementing non-financial risk processes or strong interest in doing so
- Interest in or knowledge of cryptocurrencies/blockchain/cryptography
- Self-motivated personality with a positive can-do attitude
- Goal-oriented, able to provide hands-on and practical solutions
- Strong communication skills, written and spoken in English and preferably in German
Nice to have
- Experience in market/credit or investment risk management
- Training in risk management and/or auditing (CIA, CRMA, FRM, etc.)
- Experience/knowledge in programming and databases
- Knowledge of the Swiss regulatory framework and the expectations of various stakeholders (regulatory authorities, external auditors, etc.)
