Risk & Performance Specialist

Your role

As a Risk & Performance Specialist at Bank J. Safra Sarasin, you will be part of the Analytics & Business Solutions team, which is responsible for identifying, quantifying, analyzing, and reporting on performance and risk analyses for a wide range of asset classes in asset management. In addition, based on your assessments and reports, you will provide meaningful analyses and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders, including portfolio managers and senior management.

Your tasks

• Conduct independent ex-ante and ex-post risk analysis for equities, bonds, multi-asset, and alternative strategies
• Monitor portfolio risks, including VaR, tracking error, factor exposures, concentration limits, and liquidity risks
• Prepare and deliver activity allocation and contribution analysis
• Collaborate with portfolio management, investments, and operations to ensure data integrity and timely reporting
• Contribute to the ongoing development of risk and performance measurement infrastructure, tools, and methods

Your profile

• Higher education (university or university of applied sciences) in finance or a related field
• FRM, CFA, CAIA, CIPM, or similar certifications are a plus
• More than 5 years of practical experience in the field of risk, performance, and investment analysis and products
• Experience with Bloomberg PORT Enterprise (or similar), Bloomberg, Morningstar Direct, and the MSCI Risk Suite is required
• Knowledge of Python and SQL is required
• A pragmatic approach to work, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to data accuracy
• Fluent English; fluency in German is a plus
