SAP S/4HANA Controlling & Group Reporting Specialist

Tasks

• Support in designing the data model and defining integration points
• Working with SAP General Ledger (FI)
• Working with Controlling (CO)
• Working with SAP Group Reporting (GR)
• Working with upstream and downstream systems
• Participation in and/or leadership of end-to-end fit-gap analyses
• Requirements Analysis and Fit-Gap Analysis
• End-to-End Solution Design and Fit-Gap Analysis
• Solution Design and Documentation
• Configuration, Testing (SIT, UAT), and Support
• Cutover and Post-Go-Live Support
• Ensuring data quality and consistency across FI, CO, and Group Reporting, including reconciliation and validation checks
• Collaboration with technical teams (ABAP Integration, Security, Basis) on improvements, interfaces, and performance optimization
• Provision of 2nd- and 3rd-level support for controlling and group reporting processes, including incident and change management
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, templates, and standards in the SAP Finance landscape

Requirements

• A college degree in finance, accounting, business administration, information systems, or a related field
• Substantial experience (typically 3–7 years) with SAP Finance in an implementation or support role
• Practical experience with SAP S/4HANA (or SAP ERP with significant exposure to S/4) in:
  • Controlling (CO) – Cost Centers, Profit Centers, Internal Orders, CO-PA
  • SAP Group Reporting (preferred) or comparable consolidation/reporting tools
• Strong understanding of financial and management reporting concepts:
  • Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cost Allocations, Profitability Analysis
  • Segment/Management Reporting and Performance Management
• Proven experience in requirements analysis, solution design, configuration, and testing
• Experience in project environments (e.g., template rollouts, greenfield/brownfield implementations)

Skills and competencies

• Strong SAP configuration skills in CO and Group Reporting (or a willingness to quickly develop these skills)
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and validate configuration alignment and gaps
• Experience with large-scale data migration and data governance
• A reliable team member with a strong ability to collaborate with partners at all levels and in all regions
• Ability to react quickly, be highly curious, adapt to rapidly changing work environments, and learn
• Analytical Skills: Translating business requirements into technical solutions; validating designs and results
• Well-versed in IT project methodologies, best practices, and work standards
• Initiative: Taking responsibility, driving tasks to completion, and seeing them through from start to finish
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) – additional language skills are a plus
