Scrum Master with a focus on the front arena
The Julius Baer Group is seeking a Scrum Master with a focus on Front Arena in Zurich, who will support high-performing teams as an Agile Team Facilitator and embed agile principles and practices within the organization. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach in the financial sector and will have knowledge of Front Arena and trading environments.
Tasks
In your role as Agile Team Facilitator, you will enable high-performing teams by promoting collaboration, proactively removing obstacles, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will be responsible for embedding agile principles and practices across the team and the wider organization to ensure effective execution through structured ceremonies, transparent communication, and strong facilitation skills. Your challenge includes:- Coaching Scrum teams in Agile and SAFE practices; conducting ceremonies (sprint/PI planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)
- Enabling team self-organization, backlog health, and continuous improvement using Jira and Lean-Agile methodologies
- Removing obstacles, monitoring team performance (lead time, quality), and providing support with PI planning and ART alignment
- Promoting agile maturity across GPS in partnership with Scrum Masters, POs, and executives
- Supporting front-line teams to enable optimal team performance
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, traders, risk managers, mid/back office, and quants to deliver value efficiently
- Support with change management, release planning, and compliance with company-wide risk and regulatory standards
- Maintaining integrity, diligence, and fair dealing in line with Julius Baer's values
- Participation in the long-term software strategy and engineering culture within GPS
Requirements
Your profile should meet the following requirements:- 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach in the financial industry, with direct experience in trading environments considered a particular advantage
- Degree in computer science, IT, business administration, or a related field
- Solid understanding of the Front Arena environment, including Windows OS administration and deep knowledge of Front Arena components and workflows
- Knowledge of equity derivatives, structured products, and end-to-end trading flows
- Understanding of market data, trading platforms, and risk systems
- Ability to communicate technical topics clearly to non-technical stakeholders
