The role of Securities Lending Sales Specialist involves identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with clients, and providing tailored solutions to meet their financial needs. The Sales & Solutions Generalist possesses expert knowledge of financial products and services, combined with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, to drive revenue growth and business expansion.

Tasks

The role involves promoting and supporting the bank’s securities lending business, working closely with colleagues in Securities Lending Sales & Trading in Zurich, having detailed knowledge of the securities lending process flow, and a good understanding of the broader business in Asia and the Middle Eastern markets. In addition, the individual is expected to engage in regular dialogue with front-office representatives to stay informed about client needs and requirements and to ensure that the products and services offered remain relevant and competitive.

Requirements

The position requires:
  • 7 or more years of experience in private banking, particularly in the area of securities lending
  • An understanding of how custody services work, particularly with regard to process and design architecture in the ever-shorter trade settlement cycles
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of the use of electronic pricing tools and trading systems
  • Strong business acumen, a keen sense of business, and a broad understanding of financial markets and products

Regulatory requirements

The position requires:
  • MAS-licensed representatives
  • CACS 1 & 2, FRM®, RES 12B, CM-SIP, and CM-SIP or CM-CMP
  • Familiarity with regulatory expectations and requirements in Singapore and Hong Kong
  • Understanding of cross-border rules and regulations
