Securities Transfer Specialist
The Securities Transfer Specialist at Julius Baer in Singapore is responsible for processing securities transfer instructions for clients in Singapore and Hong Kong. The role requires at least two years of professional experience in banking, knowledge of various securities products, and strong communication skills for coordinating with internal and external partners.
General Description
- Responsible for processing security transfer instructions for various products, such as equities, fixed-income instruments, funds, structured products, derivatives, and physical precious metals, in accordance with client instructions, covering the Singapore and Hong Kong booking centers
Key Features and Responsibilities
- Client Management (Internal & External)
- Coordinates with internal departments and external sub-custodians, custodians, service providers, and local market counterparties to ensure that daily operations meet organizational standards
- Monitor incoming queries and provide responses or placeholders within a reasonable time frame. Ensure that they meet all relevant standards and policies.
- Business Management
- Entering transfer instructions received from clients into the core banking system, including pre-trade validation checks
- Submit requests to create a security master if the instrument is not available
- Maintenance of Counterparty SSI in the Core Banking System
- Ensures that the instructions sent to the custodians are in order, that SWIFT entries are correct, and that they are cleared daily
- Ensures the timely payment of stamp duty, taxes, and fees, if applicable, for any transactions
- Participate in user acceptance testing when necessary

- Candidates with relevant experience in security transfers and knowledge of SWIFT (MT5xx) will have an advantage
- Proficiency in MS Office software
