Securities Transfer Specialist

Key Qualifications

• Approximately 1–3 years of experience in a similar role or relevant experience; a degree or equivalent work experience is a plus
• Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Proven track record of delivering results in time-sensitive environments
• Adaptability in a remote or hybrid environment

Key Features and Responsibilities

• Client Management (Internal & External)
  • Coordinates with internal departments and external sub-custodians, custodians, agents, and counterparties to ensure that daily operations meet organizational standards.
  • Monitor incoming queries and provide responses or hold replies within a reasonable timeframe.
• Business Management
  • Entering transfer instructions received from clients into the core banking system.
  • Submits a request to create a security master record if the instrument is not available in the system.
  • Maintenance of Counterparty SSI in the Core Banking System
  • Ensures that the instructions sent to the custodians are in order; Swift exceptions should be cleared daily
  • Ensure timely payment of stamp duty, taxes, and fees, if applicable, for any transfers
  • Participate in user acceptance testing when necessary
• Regulatory Responsibilities / Risk Management
  • Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviors, including but not limited to honesty and acting with integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with laws and regulations
  • Work with the relevant teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

    • Proven knowledge of financial markets, including a detailed understanding of securities and depository operations
    • A good understanding of compliance standards regarding adherence to instructions and policies, in accordance with applicable laws
    • Good analytical and logical thinking skills, and the ability to make sound and timely decisions
    • Familiarity with digital trends and innovative practices in our industry
    • Able to work in different languages: English and German (spoken); English
• Knowledge and Experience
  • We are looking for relevant experience in security transfers; knowledge of SWIFT (MT Sxx) is a plus.
  • Proficiency
