Securities Transfer Specialist

Tasks

• Responsible for processing securities transfer instructions for various products, such as Swiss and foreign funds, structured products, derivatives, and physical precious metals, from clients across all business units in Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Singapore, and the relevant booking centers in London, New York, Asia, and other locations.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external sub-custodians, custodians, agents, and counterparties to ensure that day-to-day operations comply with organizational standards.
• Monitoring incoming inquiries and providing responses or interim confirmations within a reasonable timeframe.
• Ensuring that all requirements are met.
• Entering transfer instructions received from customers into the core banking system.
• Performing pre-trade validation checks.
• Submission of the delivery to create the securities master record, if the instrument is not available in the system.
• Ensuring that the instructions sent to the custodians are correct and that SWIFT wire confirmations are received from the custodians in a timely manner.
• Responsible for receiving securities orders from clients.
• Ensuring the timely payment of stamp duty, taxes, and fees, if applicable to a transfer.
• Participate in user acceptance testing, as needed.
• Demonstrating appropriate values and behaviors, including, but not limited to:
  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in business or finance; Chartered status, as well as CFA and A/P certifications, are preferred.
• A college degree and at least 2+ years of relevant experience in banking or a related field.
• A solid knowledge and understanding of various securities products (e.g., stocks, fixed-income securities, mutual funds, structured products, derivatives, etc.).
• Candidates with relevant experience in Security Transfer and SWIFT (MTSxx) are preferred.
• Proficiency in using MS Office software.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in an organized and effective manner.
• Understanding of various business processes and structures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle a heavy workload during peak periods.
• A detail-oriented person with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Computer skills: Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• A high level of urgency, commitment, and drive to excel in this role.
• Demonstration of initiative, passion, independence, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
