Securitized Products Trader

Job description

The position of Securitized Products Trader involves executing trades in agency MBS, CMOs, and other structured products. The trader is responsible for ensuring best execution and sourcing liquidity through various channels. In addition, the trader is expected to maintain relationships with counterparties to gather market information, monitor flows, and identify opportunities.

• Maintaining relationships with counterparties to gather market information, monitor flows, and identify opportunities
• Collaborating with risk and quant teams to predict market movements and generate alpha
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams and manage multiple priorities

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience trading agency MBS and CMOs (experience with other structured products is a plus)
• In-depth knowledge of cultural characteristics, default and payment models, and various analytical software tools (Bloomberg, Yieldbook, Intex, etc.)
• Degree with a quantitative focus (mathematics, computer science, engineering, statistics)
• Strong Python and coding skills, with an interest in applying AI-driven tools and automation in trading, execution analytics, machine learning, and data science optimization
• Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex concepts within a quantitative framework
