Role Overview
As an experienced banking accountant, you will play a key role within Financial Accounting for activities related to lending, banking operations (including client corporate actions), and cash management. As a trusted subject-matter expert, you will manage daily accounting tasks and actively drive the continuous optimization of existing processes and the implementation of new solutions.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports in accordance with IFRS and Swiss Banking GAAP (RW)
- Provide expert support related to internal and external audits, as well as for the reconciliation of systems and core banking platforms
- Work closely with internal stakeholders across departments such as Group Tax, Management Accounting, IT Operations, and Payroll
- Participate in the testing, implementation, and rollout of new features in SAP (RW) systems
- Support in ensuring data quality and further developing internal controls. Analysis and optimization of existing processes
- Provide training to employees and prepare user documentation (primarily in English)
- Provide financial accounting support to individual locations worldwide
- Ensuring consistent compliance with internal control systems
Your Profile
- Completed education in finance or business administration, with additional training in accounting and a professional certificate in finance and accounting, or a bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or business finance
- Several years of professional experience in bank accounting, preferably in the areas of banking operations or corporate actions
- Experience with T24 or comparable core banking systems is required
- A solid understanding of banking products, particularly in lending
- A good understanding of IFRS and Swiss Banking GAAP (RW) is an advantage
- Project experience with SAP and familiarity with SAP are a plus
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs
- Very good English language skills, both written and spoken. Fluency in German is a plus.
