Senior Accountant & Regulatory Reporting (m/f)
Glarner Kantonalbank is seeking a Senior Accountant & Regulatory Reporting who will be responsible for preparing and submitting regulatory reports and operating the reporting system. The ideal candidate will have advanced professional training in accounting and experience in banking or the financial sector.
Job description
Senior Accountant & Regulatory Reporting (m/f) 80-100%Your tasks
- Preparation, review, and timely submission of regulatory reports
- Operation of the FIRE regulatory reporting system, including testing, optimization, and further development
- Collaboration in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual financial statements, as well as the finance-related section of the annual report
- Contact person for internal and external inquiries, e.g., regarding own funds, coupon annuities, and liquidity risks
- Actively monitoring and implementing regulatory changes in reporting to FINMA and the SNB
- Responsible for or involved in the implementation of projects and new products in the area of reporting
Your profile
- Completed higher professional education with a specialization in accounting (e.g., university degree, expert in accounting and controlling, auditor) or several years of professional experience in a comparable environment
- Professional experience in accounting/reporting at a bank. Alternatively, in the financial sector or in auditing.
- Active participation in current developments in accounting and regulatory reporting and keen interest in banking
- Professional proficiency with MS Office programs, especially Excel, and knowledge of the FIRE reporting system are advantageous.
- High level of self-motivation, high degree of independence in work, and willingness to take on responsibility
