Senior Analyst, Accounting
The Senior Analyst, Accounting is responsible for supporting financial control and reporting for the Group and its subsidiaries and offers an excellent opportunity for a quick learner who wants to improve and influence processes. The position is a 12-month fixed-term role and offers the opportunity to work at a global company headquartered in London.
Purpose of the role
This role is responsible for supporting financial control and reporting for the Group and its subsidiaries. The person will be responsible for the subsidiaries, and this is an excellent opportunity for a quick learner who is ready to influence and improve processes.Specific responsibilities
The role includes:- Conduct month-end financial activities for all entities within the area of responsibility to ensure that the general ledger is accurate and complete, that all financial, management, and balance sheet reconciliations have been completed and reviewed, and that any new issues are addressed
- Prepare financial statements in accordance with local GAAP and tax returns for all relevant entities
- Prepare regulatory filings for regulated entities, in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders
- Prepare reports in accordance with local requirements to ensure the provision of information to support the preparation of local tax returns and to file tax returns and other tax documents
- Execution and Ownership of Recurring Processes (such as Budgeting and Forecasting)
- Support Group Reporting and Finance Business Partners to facilitate the exchange of information with them in a timely, accurate, and controlled manner
- Maintaining a proactive interest in improving existing processes
- Support for other financial control and reporting initiatives and projects
Key competencies
- Accounting: ACA/ACCA/CIMA Certification
- Technical: Strong knowledge of financial accounting and finance, including technical accounting
- IT Skills: You must be computer literate, have strong IT skills, and be able to quickly learn new systems
- Communication: Organizational, prioritization, and presentation skills, along with the ability to interact confidently with multiple stakeholders
- Other: The candidate should have a proactive attitude and be a quick learner with an eye for detail
