Senior Credit Analyst, Middle Office

The position of Senior Analyst Credit in the Middle Office at Man Group involves responsibility for security price controlling, net asset value calculations, and portfolio rebalancing in the fixed income area. The Senior Analyst is expected to demonstrate technical expertise and contribute to process improvement and collaboration on ad hoc projects.

Job Summary

The Fixed Income Team, Credit Middle Office, is responsible for security price controls, NBD (Net Asset Valuation) calculations, fee modeling, and portfolio rebalancing across our funder/multi-book structures, as well as setting trading levels and monitoring FX hedges related to client capital flows via Man's Public Markets Fixed Income platform. This team supports pricing and market risk management processes and works closely with the portfolio management and investment analysis teams to develop broader technical and operational expertise.

Specific responsibilities

Specific responsibilities include:
  • Review and analysis of fixed income investments and derivatives (including credit default swaps, bonds, loans, and other fixed income instruments) with a focus on their pricing and performance
  • Supporting daily operational processes, including hedge fund valuations and fixed income trading reconciliation
  • Conducting daily price verifications and ad hoc inquiries
  • Conducting fixed income-specific assessments, including yield curve analysis, maturity calculations, and credit alerts
  • Collaborate with various internal teams and databases to deliver fixed income reports and analyses
  • Contribution to process improvements and automation initiatives in the area of fixed income fund operations

Technical development

Technical development includes:
  • Contribution to the continuous improvement of systems, controls, and workflows related to fixed income fund management
  • Learning and using coding/programming tools to improve processes and reports
