Senior Analyst, External Alpha Middle Office

About the role

The Middle Office International Middle Office team supports external alpha asset managers by providing trade support, net asset position, and price reconciliation services. The team also calculates estimated net asset values (NAVs) for funds. These estimates are reconciled with the final NAVs provided by the fund administrator.

Key aspects of the role

As a Senior Analyst, you will join the core operational support team, contribute independently, and continue to develop your functional and technical expertise. You will also help develop business and reporting analytics used across the company—leveraging AI, Excel, and internal databases to deliver critical reports and analytics.

Tasks

The tasks include:

• Review and analysis of fund income statements across various asset classes to support performance reporting for the external alpha business
• Conducting daily, weekly, and monthly reviews and estimates of fund NAVs, including the review of accrued income and expenses
• Verification of reconciliations between custodian banks, prime brokers, and internal records; coordination of investigations and resolution of discrepancies
• Communicating with fund administrators to reconcile fund holdings
• Ensuring the integrity of asset manager data and prices in internal systems
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to deliver reports and analytics

Trading and Fund Support

The tasks include:

• Provision of trading support functions and fund-of-funds trading execution as needed
• Processing of Corporate Actions
• Maintenance of investment restrictions
• Support for liquidity management

Technical development

The tasks include:

• Contributing to the continuous improvement of processes, controls, and workflows
• Driving process improvements and automation initiatives
• Learning and using programming tools to improve team processes and reports

Stakeholder engagement

The tasks include:

• Collaborate with team members and other departments on daily activities and long-term projects
• Communicating results and recommendations clearly and concisely to various stakeholders
