Senior Analyst, External Alpha Middle Office

About the role

The Middle Office Investment Operations team supports external alpha fund managers by providing trading support, cash position management, and price reconciliation services. The team also calculates estimated net asset values (NAVs) for funds. These estimates are reconciled with the final NAVs generated by the fund administrator.

Tasks

As a Senior Analyst, you will independently take on key operational responsibilities and continue to develop your technical and operational skills. You will also contribute to the development of processes and reporting solutions used throughout the company—utilizing AI, Excel, and internal databases to deliver critical reports and analyses. Your responsibilities will include:

• Review and analysis of fund NAV accounts across various asset classes to support performance reporting for the external alpha business
• Conducting daily, weekly, and monthly reviews and estimates of fund NAVs, including the review of accrued income and performance
• Verification of reconciliations between custodians, prime brokers, and internal records; coordination of investigations and resolutions with internal stakeholders
• Communicating with fund administrators to reconcile fund holdings
• Ensuring the integrity of asset manager data and prices in internal systems
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to develop reports and analyses

Requirements

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Robust controls and compliance, as well as the ability to handle sensitive or confidential matters
• Strong programming skills (Python/R/VBA)

Desirable qualifications

• Experience in the financial sector (investment banking, asset management, or treasury)
• Professional qualifications (CFA, accounting qualifications, or similar)
• Experience with feeder/master fund structures
• Knowledge of fund accounting
