Job description: Senior Analyst - Financial Accounting

Tasks

• Preparation of monthly management accounts for all units within the area of responsibility, ensuring accuracy and completeness of the general ledger and performing year-end audits and balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparation and review of local GAAP financial statements and tax returns for all relevant entities
• Preparation of regulatory reports for regulated entities, communication with local regulatory advisors as required
• Preparation of reports for the Board of Directors of legal entities as required
• Communicating with auditors and tax advisors, ensuring the delivery of information to support the preparation of local tax returns and other tax filings
• Execution and takeover of centralized processes such as fixed assets or intra-group transactions relating to accounting, taxes and/or treasury
• Communication between finance teams within the finance department, including UK and Swiss financial accounting, treasury, tax, group reporting and finance business partners
• Proactive role in improving existing processes
• Support and mentoring of junior employees
• Supporting other initiatives and projects for financial control and reporting as required

Requirements

• Qualification: ACA/ACCA/CIMA
• Experience: Good knowledge of financial accounting, including technical accounting
• IT Skills: Computer literate with excellent skills, ability to learn new systems, experience with general ledger systems an advantage
• Interpersonal skills: Communication, organizational and presentation skills, ability to deal confidently with multiple stakeholders
• Other: Proactive attitude, quick learner, attention to detail
