Senior Analyst / Manager, Financial and Regulatory Reporting - FTC

The job posting describes a position as a Senior Analyst/Manager for Financial and Regulatory Reporting at Man Group in London, which is a six-month fixed-term contract. Purpose of the role

This role is based within Man Group’s Finance Department and reports to the Head of Financial and Regulatory Reporting. Responsibilities include: calculating, reviewing, and monitoring regulatory capital and liquidity requirements and regulatory feedback; reviewing and monitoring our capital adequacy and obligations; and ad hoc projects. The role also offers the opportunity to engage in financial accounting and group reporting analysis as needed. Please note that this is a 6-month fixed-term contract.

Specific tasks

  • Prepare and/or review monthly regulatory capital and liquidity calculations, forecasts, and regulatory feedback.
  • Monitor compliance with all prudential requirements, including regulatory filing deadlines.
  • Provide technical accounting assessments, including for new lease agreements, as needed.
  • Ensure that new lease agreements and lease modifications are recorded in our systems to support technical accounting assessments, including balance sheet reclassifications, when necessary.
  • Assist with the maintenance and management of financial accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, internal reports, and ad hoc management reports and analysis processes as needed.
  • Work with other teams on statutory accounts to ensure that the necessary information is provided in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner.
  • Provide support for other financial control and reporting functions, as well as ad hoc projects, as needed.

Technical skills

  • Accounting: ACA/ACCA/CIMA certification or equivalent. Strong knowledge of financial accounting (including IFRS).
  • Experience: Experience working on a financial accounting or audit reporting team within a large company is required.
  • Regulation: Working knowledge of FCA MiFID/PRIIPs and/or other equivalent local regulatory requirements, or equivalent experience.
  • Communication: Able to act proactively and with a thoughtful approach, possessing strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with senior management.
  • IT Skills: Must be computer literate, with strong Excel skills and the ability to learn new systems, processes, and tools as needed.
  • Risk awareness: The ability to understand financial risks, use them to inform decisions and critically evaluate processes, and escalate issues to senior management.
