Senior Analyst, Regulatory Reporting and Financial Accounting

The Senior Analyst for Regulatory Reporting and Financial Accounting in London is responsible for consolidation, regulatory reporting, and maintaining accurate accounting records for Man Group. The position requires an ACA/CIMA certification as well as experience in regulatory reporting within the financial services sector.

Tasks

  • Monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation of regulatory reporting requirements for the Group’s regulated U.S. subsidiaries, including the preparation of control narratives, account reconciliations, data completion, and the preparation of draft disclosures.
  • Preparing and presenting updates on regulatory filings and coordinating with stakeholders on a monthly basis, including providing daily feedback on factors affecting timelines.
  • Monitoring compliance across the Group's global regulated subsidiaries; identifying and escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Performing routine accounting tasks for our entities with tax-related matters (in collaboration with local tax staff).
  • Collaborating with external auditors and consultants on audit matters, maintaining documentation of internal controls, and coordinating annual reassessments, including reviewing and establishing new internal technical criteria.
  • Preparation and explanation of statutory financial reports and accounts for bookkeeping purposes.
  • Preparing executive board materials and reports for key committee meetings.
  • Collaboration with external auditors and tax departments; coordination of the provision of information to accountants for capital adequacy purposes.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with finance teams across the entire group—including U.S. and Swiss financial accounting, treasury, tax, group disclosure, and the Executive Board and governance.
  • Maintaining quality and contributing to improvements in existing processes, reviewing KPIs, and keeping the team informed as needed.
  • Providing ad hoc support and collaborating with senior team members.
  • Contribute to other financial and reporting projects and initiatives as needed.

Requirements

  • ACA/CIMA Accounting Certification.
  • Experience in regulatory reporting in the financial services sector.
  • Strong practical experience in financial and technical accounting, reconciliations, and the audit cycle / Q4 / quarterly reporting.
  • Experience with financial statement reconciliation, analysis, and rapid reporting.
  • Knowledge of IFRS across all forms of reporting and monthly reporting to our top clients, as well as strong technical expertise.
  • Ability to solve problems in a timely manner and manage multiple workflows.
  • A high degree of independence and strong communication skills, with the ability to serve senior clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong self-motivation, combined with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in using spreadsheets and working as part of a collaborative team.
  • Curious and open to change, with a willingness to challenge the company's status quo in the best interest of the work environment.
