Senior Assistant / Business Manager

The Julius Baer Group is seeking a Senior Assistant / Business Manager for its Geneva branch to act as the right-hand person to the Co-Market Head Switzerland and provide administrative and operational support. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role and be characterized by discretion, initiative, and excellent communication skills.

Tasks

As Senior Assistant / Business Manager, you will support the Co-Market Head Switzerland in his work. Your tasks will include:
  • Act as a liaison between headquarters and the Geneva office to ensure alignment on policies, communications, and change initiatives
  • Support the implementation of local growth strategies under the guidance of the Co-Market Head
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and digital transformation
  • Work with all key internal stakeholders, including compliance and legal departments, particularly regarding documentation and approvals.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Geneva branch; prepare weekly and monthly reports
  • Facilitate internal governance processes; organize regional management committee meetings, track action items, and maintain meeting minutes and follow-ups.
  • Proactively manage the Co-Market Head's calendar: schedule appointments, prioritize appointments, and resolve conflicts
  • Prepare agendas, briefing materials, presentations (PowerPoint/Excel), and speeches for internal and external meetings
  • Organize travel arrangements, including itineraries, visa requirements, accommodations, and expense reports
  • Act as a gatekeeper by screening calls and emails, handling sensitive correspondence, and ensuring timely follow-up, while maintaining strict confidentiality in all matters.

Requirements

For this position, we are looking for a candidate with:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, international relations, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in a position as executive support, business coordinator, or business manager within private banking or financial services
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a senior executive environment with discretion and initiative
  • Communication skills: Communicate clearly, concisely, and diplomatically at all levels and across different cultures
  • Teamwork: Working independently and as part of cross-functional teams
  • Discretion and integrity: Handle confidential information with the utmost sensitivity and trustworthiness.
