Senior Associate or Vice President, Real Estate and ABS Solutions

Nomura is seeking a Senior Associate or Vice President for its Real Estate and ABS Solutions department in London who has experience in structured finance and real estate finance. Department Overview

Nomura's Global Markets Division handles client transactions for financial institutions, corporations, governments, and investment funds worldwide. We act as market makers, trading fixed income and equities, including currencies, interest rates, and credits in cash, derivatives, and structured products.

Fun activities

* Support, structuring, and execution of structured financings of special finance RE platforms and portfolios of RE-backed loans * Research of assets and markets relevant to potential or existing transactions to form trading views and inform transaction support, structuring, and risk management * Coordinating transaction due diligence and execution workflows with external advisors and legal counsel * Modeling transactions throughout their lifecycle (origination, servicing, and after-the-fact) * Collaborating with our client coverage teams to identify and evaluate opportunities and contribute to transaction idea generation * Preparing internal transaction approval memos and collaborating with credit risk and other control functions throughout the transaction lifecycle

role requirements

* At least 4-5 years or equivalent experience in structured finance at an investment bank or buy-side firm * Good understanding of real estate/mortgage-backed loans required; Relevant experience in warehouse/portfolio/NPL financing desirable * Candidate should demonstrate experience in RE-backed loan structuring and be comfortable with loan documentation * Strong quantitative and technical skills * Proven project management, analytical, and credit skills
