Senior Associate or Vice President, Real Estate and ABS Solutions

Key Role Activities:
- Underwrite, structure and execute structured financings of specialty finance RE platforms and portfolio of ABS backed loans
- Research asset classes and markets relevant to potential or existing transactions to form trading views and inform transaction underwriting, structuring and risk management
- Coordinate transaction due diligence and execution work streams with third party advisers and legal counsels
- Model transactions throughout their lifecycles (origination, underwriting and post-closing)
- Work in partnership with our client coverage teams to identify and assess opportunities and contribute to transaction idea generation
- Prepare internal transaction approval memos and collaborate with credit risk and other control functions throughout transaction lifecycle
Role Requirements:
- At least 5+ years of equivalent of structured finance underwriting experience in an investment bank or by-the-side outfit
- Strong understanding of real estate / mortgage backed loans essential; relevant experience in warehouse / portfolio / NPLs financing desirable
- Candidate should be able to demonstrate experience in RE backed credit structuring, and comfort with loans documentation
- Strong quantitative skills
- Proven project management, analytical and credit skills
