Key Role Activities:

  • Underwrite, structure and execute structured financings of specialty finance RE platforms and portfolio of ABS backed loans
  • Research asset classes and markets relevant to potential or existing transactions to form trading views and inform transaction underwriting, structuring and risk management
  • Coordinate transaction due diligence and execution work streams with third party advisers and legal counsels
  • Model transactions throughout their lifecycles (origination, underwriting and post-closing)
  • Work in partnership with our client coverage teams to identify and assess opportunities and contribute to transaction idea generation
  • Prepare internal transaction approval memos and collaborate with credit risk and other control functions throughout transaction lifecycle

Role Requirements:

  • At least 5+ years of equivalent of structured finance underwriting experience in an investment bank or by-the-side outfit
  • Strong understanding of real estate / mortgage backed loans essential; relevant experience in warehouse / portfolio / NPLs financing desirable
  • Candidate should be able to demonstrate experience in RE backed credit structuring, and comfort with loans documentation
  • Strong quantitative skills
  • Proven project management, analytical and credit skills
