(Senior) Audit Manager Internal Audit

The Swiss National Bank is looking for a (Senior) Audit Manager for Internal Audit who, as part of a motivated team, will protect the bank's reputation and assets and contribute to its improvement and further development. The position is based in Zurich and offers a responsible and challenging role in a collegial environment.

Tasks

Internal Audit protects the reputation and assets of the SNB and makes a significant contribution to improving and developing the bank. As a (Senior) Audit Manager in Internal Audit, you will be part of a motivated team and have the opportunity to make a difference across the entire spectrum of the SNB. Your responsibilities will include:
  • They ask the right questions, identify opportunities and risks early on, and develop pragmatic, bold, and forward-looking solutions.
  • They use our audits not only for control purposes, but also as a platform for dialogue, inspiration, and further development—always with the aim of creating real added value.
  • You bring new perspectives, confidently manage complex projects, and build trust and impact for all stakeholders, including the bank council, bank management, and line management.
  • You practice active stakeholder management: you are close to the relevant decision-makers, listen, convince with facts and data, and win people over with your personality.
  • You will advise our clients competently in your role as subject matter expert for your key areas, convey "inside" information to the bank's management, and open up new perspectives for strategic decisions.
  • You represent Internal Audit in internal committees and international central bank working groups;
  • They drive innovation in methodology, tools, and approaches and set standards for state-of-the-art internal auditing.
  • You win over your employees as a friendly and reliable sparring partner who knows how to communicate challenging topics with enthusiasm and conviction.

Requirements

The following knowledge and experience are expected for this position:
  • University degree and at least one relevant additional professional qualification (e.g., CIA, certified public accountant, ACCA, CFA);
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience;
  • Knowledge and practical experience in performing data analysis and an understanding of technology (e.g., computer science, AI applications) are advantageous.
  • Critical and independent thinking with an eye for the big picture; a "can-do" attitude paired with the talent to find practical and entrepreneurial solutions;
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex issues in an understandable way;
  • Excellent written and spoken German; French skills are a plus.
