Your role

As a Senior Avaloq Developer Payments at our bank, you will play an important role in designing and optimizing Avaloq payment processes and interfaces. You will provide expert-level guidance on payment integration, system customization, and best practices throughout the entire transaction lifecycle.

Your tasks

• Design, implementation, and maintenance of payment functionalities within our core banking system Avaloq
• Development and maintenance of interfaces between Avaloq and external payment systems, including anti-fraud screening systems and the Finastra payment gateway
• Adaptation and extension of standard modules for various payment systems and networks (e.g., SIC, SEPA, SWIFT (MT/MX formats, ISO20022), TARGET2/TIPS) to ensure high-quality delivery and compliance with technical standards
• Building strong relationships with internal and external counterparts to ensure smooth communication and problem solving
• Troubleshooting and resolving production issues with payments, providing expert-level support to operations and service teams as needed
• Support for test campaigns and production rollouts
• Promoting innovation and efficiency by integrating modern technologies such as containerization, microservices, and cloud-native solutions to improve the scalability, security, and performance of the payment sector.
• Collaborate with Avaloq developers to continuously improve systems and processes, promote best practices, and deliver high-quality results.

Your profile

• Higher education (university/technical college) in computer science/business informatics or a comparable qualification
• Additional training to become an Avaloq Certified Professional (ACP) is a plus
• 5 years of practical experience in Avaloq development
• First relevant professional experience in the payment sector
• Knowledge of Avaloq is required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to assess problems, set priorities and work with different stakeholders
• Practical setting
• Strong work ethic, integrity and high sense of responsibility
• Willingness to take on responsibility
• Fluency in English; fluency in German is a plus
