Senior Backend Developer - C100% (f/m/d)
Julius Baer is seeking a Senior Backend Developer with expertise in C# to develop scalable solutions for the structured products platform in Zurich. This full-time, fixed-term position, starting immediately and running through March 31, 2027, requires at least 10 years of professional experience as well as knowledge of microservices, messaging systems, and Elasticsearch.

Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality, scalable solutions within the structured product platform
- Building high-performance, low-latency systems with a strong focus on backend technologies
- Working with modern development practices, including containerization and microservices, to ensure seamless integration across multiple teams
- Contributing to the optimization of critical workflows, addressing technical debt, and driving the evolution of our technological infrastructure
- Proficiency in C# and experience with messaging systems such as RabbitMQ and Kafka, as well as search tools such as Elasticsearch
- Maintaining high code quality standards, ensuring effective testing, and delivering results within tight deadlines
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, using effective communication tools, and fostering accountability in a self-directed manner
- Providing technical support and collaboration to business teams and key stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful delivery
Requirements
- Completed a college degree in computer science or a related technical field
- 10 years of professional software development experience, including 5 years focused on backend development
- Strong hands-on expertise in C#; additional experience with TypeScript is considered a plus
- Familiarity with message brokers and communication protocols such as RabbitMQ and Kafka
- A solid understanding of and practical experience with Elasticsearch
- Proven ability to conduct effective code reviews with a strong commitment to delivering and maintaining high code quality
- Proven track record in distributed systems, fault tolerance, and data consistency
- A self-reliant worker who can work independently while also collaborating effectively within global teams
- Consistently delivers results with a client-centric approach across all tasks and projects
- A quick learner who remains productive and solution-oriented even under pressure and tight deadlines
- Team-oriented with a collaborative and supportive work style
- Fluent in English, enabling clear and efficient communication
