Senior Consultant for institutional clients Region German-speaking Switzerland

BCV is seeking a senior advisor for institutional clients in the German-speaking region of Switzerland to develop new business relationships and maintain existing client relationships. The position involves marketing investment strategies, managing the sales process and participating in events to market the fund range.

Tasks

  • Development and establishment of new business relationships with potential customers in the German-speaking region of Switzerland and activation of our own existing network in this region,
  • Presenting and marketing our investment strategies to professional clients such as institutional investors, banks, financial intermediaries and open architecture platforms,
  • Independently manage the entire sales process, from initial contact, developing the client relationship, preparing investment proposals and participating in RFPs, to onboarding new clients and providing regular investment updates,
  • Regular meetings with potential and existing clients to find out what they want from BCV, its experts and product strategies,
  • Organization, participation and moderation of events to market our fund range and investment strategies,
  • Marketing the bank and its various areas of activity within the network, with a strong focus on synergies and cross-selling activities with other departments,
  • Actively following the institutional markets, especially with regard to participating in tenders and maintaining the network of consultants in German-speaking Switzerland,
  • Participate in the development and editing of standard marketing materials and presentations, as well as the management of RFP responses,
  • Participation in other sales-related projects as required.

Requirements

  • Higher vocational training or university degree,
  • Many years of proven experience in advising institutional clients in German-speaking Switzerland (especially in the Mittelland region) and in the world of investment funds,
  • Knowledge of the extensive marketing activities for institutional clients and a proven, solid network among financial players in the Swiss Plateau,
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, strong business acumen, results-oriented,
  • Excellent communication skills, initiative and the ability to interact with customers and prospects,
  • Ability to understand and master proprietary systems and software,
  • Very good knowledge of German, additionally good knowledge of English or French is an advantage.
