Senior Blockchain Engineer
Vontobel is seeking a Senior Blockchain Engineer and Architect in Zurich for its IT Security department to oversee the development, operation, and architecture of internal and external blockchain platforms. The position requires extensive experience in designing blockchain systems as well as strong programming skills, ideally in Scala or Java.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Responsible for development, support, and operational matters related to internal and external blockchain platforms
- Architectural Concepts for Complex and Innovative Projects
- Technical projects in close collaboration with consultants and colleagues in IT architecture and IT security, such as those related to wallets (e.g., Fireblocks)
- Integration of Blockchain and Non-Blockchain Systems
Your profile
- Solid experience in the design and development of blockchain systems (required)
- Strong programming skills (ideally in Scala or Java)
- Experience with open-source projects (highly desirable)
- Knowledge of and access to industry-specific products and services in the blockchain sector are a plus
- Strong skills in web technologies and platforms, such as Node.js, Java, Python, Selenium, Docker, and Git
